Meet Edu
Creator of EduQuest · elprogramadorgt
“I taught myself to code from PDFs and YouTube videos, while also fighting to learn English well enough to read the documentation. It took years longer than it should have. Not because programming is hard, but because a lot of tutorials had bugs that never got fixed, the senior developers at my first jobs were too busy (or too mean) to help, and every 'course' spent forever on the basics but never got to building something a company would actually pay for.
I got my first dev job in my second year of college. Today I lead 8 engineers across PHP, Java, and C#. I've watched our juniors go from asking basic questions every day to shipping features on their own. That transformation is what EduQuest is built for.
I'm not a famous teacher. I don't have a bootcamp to sell you. I'm one Guatemalan developer building the platform I wish I'd had, in the open, and with you.”
Why EduQuest exists
We believe everyone who wants to code should be able to, because the people who could teach you don't, and the people who do teach usually haven't written a real line of code in years.
Watch the story behind EduQuest
The tutorials we learned from had errors on purpose to keep us watching. The senior developers at our first jobs were too busy, or too mean, to help. The bootcamps we couldn't afford anyway charged thousands to teach material you can find free on YouTube. The instructors reading scripts from their screens probably haven't programmed their own alarm clock.
EduQuest is the platform we wish had existed when we were starting. Free forever. In Spanish. Plus the English you'll actually use on the job. Taught by a working engineer who leads a team, not someone selling certificates.
We're small. We're early. We'll be honest about it. Right now it's one course and 24 lessons, built by a solo Guatemalan developer. Soon: Git, algorithms, design patterns, and the path from first dev job to remote US salaries. If you want to learn, you shouldn't have to fight for it. Come build with us.
